Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on iOS in the UK: Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the leading carpooling and ridesharing apps on the iOS platform in the United Kingdom exhibited varied performance in terms of downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride demonstrated a solid presence with weekly downloads starting at around 64K in early July and climbing to over 77K by late September. The app maintained a robust active user base, beginning the quarter at approximately 1.1M and peaking at over 1.18M towards the end of September.

Bolt: Request a Ride showed a consistent download pattern, with numbers ranging from 34K to 39K throughout the quarter. Its weekly active users fluctuated slightly but showed an overall upward trend, reaching approximately 325K by the end of September.

The Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver app experienced stable download figures, hovering around 10K weekly. However, its active users saw a gradual decline from about 157K in early July to around 134K by the end of the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides exhibited a stable download rate, starting at approximately 5.4K and maintaining similar figures throughout the quarter. Active users showed a slight increase, beginning at around 26K and ending at nearly 29K.

Lastly, Careem – rides, food & more had a gradual increase in downloads from about 4K in early July to over 6.5K by late September. The active user base also grew steadily, reaching a peak of around 16K in late September.
